# Exporting agents and workflows

> Download the filtered list, or a selection, as a CSV file with one column per label.

Export the agent or workflow list to a CSV file you can open in Excel, Google Sheets or Numbers. The export follows your search and filters, and it includes one column per label key.

## Export the list

<Steps>
  <Step title="Shape the list">
    Search and filter until the list holds what you want to export. A [saved view](/organizing/saved-views) works too.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the export dialog">
    Click **Export**. The dialog says how many rows the export covers.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose columns">
    Tick the columns to include. Every column the table can show is available, plus fields the table leaves out, such as the ID and description.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Download">
    Click **Export CSV**. The file is named `agents_<YYYY-MM-DD>.csv` or `workflows_<YYYY-MM-DD>.csv`.
  </Step>
</Steps>

An export of the whole list covers up to 5,000 rows.

## Export a selection

To export specific rows, select them in the table and click **Export selected** in the selection bar. **Select all N matching** works here too. The file is named `agents_selected_<YYYY-MM-DD>.csv` or `workflows_selected_<YYYY-MM-DD>.csv`.

## What the file contains

| Column type | Contents |
| - | - |
| Dates | ISO 8601 timestamps in UTC |
| Created by, Modified by | The member's or API key's name when known |
| Channels (agents) | Voice, chat and demo, comma-separated |
| One column per label key | The value, or several values separated by `; ` |

A label key whose name matches a built-in column, such as "Name", is headed `Label: Name`.

<Note>
  A cell that starts with `=`, `+`, `-` or `@` is written with a leading apostrophe, so a spreadsheet shows it as text instead of running it as a formula. Plain numbers, including `+1…` phone numbers, are left alone.
